Photographs

C                                     F                      G7                          C

Photographs negatives and smiles of you the album is finished now that we are through

                                                            F                                   G7                                        F               C

The flash gun went bang and the colours all turned blue Leaving a blurred picture in my memories of you

C                                     F                G7                                      C

It seems that our love became over exposed to much love light to let the camera man reload

C                                           F                              G7                                         F          C

And the Polaroid camera didn't give an instant end it took so long to develop it left time to pretend

G7                                                          C

*That our love could be much more than a film that's out of date

G7                                                       E7

you get rose coloured prints but for good results you’re too late

I must have seen it coming but the camera does not lie and there's your picture at the end of July

There's a smudge on the print where it was touched before it dried so that's where it ended that's where it died

*

I wish I'd kept my thumb over the lens or left it out of focus because now that we're not friends

the memories would eventually yellow and fade but these photographs are forever my memories aid.

G7                                                            C

Could our love could be much more than a film that's out of date

G7                                      C

you get rose coloured prints or slides that are second rate

           E7                                   Am                         E7

all the prints are blurred at the edges for good results your to late

All these years later the digital age images shared in an instant up to your web page

400 million pixels wiz around the world cached forever in a memory swirl
